Communicating 101
What is communication? Communication in the simplest definition is: the act of communicating; something communicated-a letter.
Now, many of you may think a letter? Do people still send letters? Many of you may think a letter is something of the past, but realistically, the majority of us receive some sort of letter in the mail every day. Many of us, including myself, typically receive "junk mail." If you step back and think about it, that "junk mail" is a letter-a form of communication. Even though this type of letter is normally thrown right into the garbage can (at least it is in my house), this is a type of communicated information. While this type of communication may seem very simple, in all reality, much thought was put into the communication. This letter was sent out to relay some sort of "important" information to us.
As with the junk mail that fills our mailboxes, our every day communication and our business communication needs to be thought out thoroughly. There are many things that can influence the communication we do on a daily basis. This blog is designed to aid in our communication efforts. Articles, links, PDFs, and work examples will be utilized to aid in these efforts.
Many of us may feel we communicate very well, but do we actually? As the information on this site is studied or utilized, many of us may realize we may not be as effective of communicators as we believe.
